Chapter 6 - Original Earth

God created the original, eternal earth to exist within His kingdom. Serving as a habitat for angelic beings, it provided an environment in which they were privileged to submit to His authority and witness the glorious revelation of His nature.

                                              Rebellion
 
Nevertheless, the angelic high priest of the original earth rebelled against the sovereign authority of God. He inspired a vast number of subordinate angels to do the same.
    
​Relative to the rebellion and the subsequent judgment of God, the original earth was reduced to a state of chaos. The chaotic earth was characterized by waste, ruin, emptiness and darkness (Genesis 1:2).
    
The rebellious, angelic inhabitants of the original earth were banished from the presence of God and therefore, His kingdom (realm of authority). Consequently, the angelic population of the “kingdom of God” endured a dramatic reduction in size.
    
As a result of the rebellion and its consequences, the original, eternal earth became unsuitable to exist within the kingdom of God. Therefore, the authority of God was temporarily postponed on earth.
    
​The original earth in the kingdom of God can be briefly summarized as follows:

  • The creation of the original earth as a suitable habitat for angelic beings.
  • The enjoyment and representation of divine authority on the original earth by created beings.

  • The Garden of Eden on the original, eternal earth in the kingdom of God (realm of divine authority).
Character for Citizenship:
  • Glorious, holy, powerful, and eternal (concordant with the nature of the divine king).
Presentation:
  • Visible. 
Era:
  • From angelic creation to angelic fall. 
Qualification
for Citizenship:

  • Divine holiness, spirituality, and immortality inherent to angelic beings at their creation.
  • Angelic cooperation by willing submission to the beneficent revelation of divine authority.
Governance:
  • Theocratic.
  • In cooperation with angelic mediation.
  • Through union of life between God and the angelic citizens of His kingdom (realm of divine authority).
Outcome:
  • The kingdom of God (realm of divine authority) and the angelic population of the kingdom of God (realm of divine authority) reduced in size. 
  • Judgment, separation and degeneration of the rebellious angels and their earthly habitat, the original earth.
  • The original earth characterized by the chaos of uninhabitable waste, ruin, emptiness and the darkness of divine judgment.
  • Rendered chaotic by the angelic rebellion and darkened by divine judgment, the earth was temporarily made unsuitable for existence within the kingdom (realm of divine authority).
